What is Microsoft Intune Mobile Device Management?

Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based service that works within the Microsoft 365 platform and focuses on mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
You control how your organization’s devices are used, including mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.

Microsoft AutoPilot is available for any of the Microsoft Surface devices and works hand in hand with Intune.  Allowing Surface devices to be automatically enrolled by its serial number.

You can manage all of your IT equipment with a single touch of a button! Manage policies, profiles, and apps from one convenient portal. There’s no need to retrieve a device from an employee to make any changes to their machine’s settings. Microsoft Intune allows businesses to have a truly remote, global workforce, equipped with the tools they need to remain productive in any setting.

In Intune, you manage devices using an approach that's right for you with assistance from our dedicated Solutions Team!
For organisation-owned devices, you may want full control over the devices, including settings, features, and security. In this approach, you are able to Automatically "enrol" or deploy your devices for users in Intune.
Once enrolled, they receive your rules, applications and settings through policies configured in Intune. For example, you can set password and PIN requirements, create a VPN connection, set up threat protection, and more.
When devices are enrolled and managed in Intune, administrators can:
  • See the devices enrolled and get an inventory of devices accessing organisation resources.
  • Configure devices, so they meet your security or business standards. For example, you probably want to ensure users have a secure password.
  • Push business required applications to all of your devices to ensure your staff have the correct tools.
  • Push certificates to devices so users can easily access your Wi-Fi network or use a VPN to connect to your network.
  • See reports on users and devices compliance.
  • Remove organisation data or wipe the device if a device is lost, stolen, or not used anymore.
